What Noggin does
The prompts that work best end up scattered across chat histories, notes and config folders. Noggin keeps them in one place, with the blanks you fill in each time, ready to insert into any AI tool.
The vault
Five kinds of item live in your vault: prompts, instructions (the standing guidance you give a tool), skills, emoji and Slack messages. Each can have blanks to fill in, tags, notes, a favorite star and a usage history. A skill can stay where it lives: note the file or web address it's stored at and how you call it. See Save prompts, instructions and skills and Leave blanks to fill in.
The toolbar panel
Click the toolbar icon to search your vault, with favorites and the current site's items first and your emoji above them. Insert an item into the page's text box or copy it. The same panel can open under the icon, in Chrome's side panel or in its own window. See Insert or copy from the toolbar panel.
On AI sites
On ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, Le Chat, DeepSeek and Poe, a page helper outlines what you've sent that's already saved, offers Save to vault on anything else, and adds a Vault tab on the right edge to insert straight into the prompt box. See Use the Vault tab on AI sites.
Emoji, Slack and your own voice
- Emoji: save what each one means and a shortcode like
:salute:that types it. See Keep your emoji and shortcodes. - Slack: copy an AI's answer ready for Slack, and keep message templates. See Copy for Slack and Slack templates.
- Rewrite me: rewrite any text in your own voice with the AI built into Chrome, on your computer. See Rewrite text in your own voice.
Private by design
There are no accounts, no servers and no tracking. Your vault, its history and your settings stay in Chrome's storage on your computer. See Privacy & permissions.
