Start with the example sets

Not sure where to start? Noggin comes with two example sets, one for engineering teams and one for product management, that you can load, change and remove in one go.

Load a set

  1. Open Settings (the gear in the toolbar panel) and choose Getting started.
  2. Under Start with examples, press Load engineering examples or Load product management examples. You can load both.

What's in them

  • Engineering: prompts such as Review this pull request, Explain this error and Commit message from a diff; instructions for code review standards and team conventions for Cursor, Copilot and Codex; status emoji like Shipped and Rolled back; and Slack messages for the daily stand-up, incident updates and on-call handoffs.
  • Product management: prompts such as Write a PRD, Synthesize interview notes and Prioritize with RICE; product context and a writing voice for specs; skills that live in a custom GPT, a project or a Gem; emoji like On target and Kudos; and stakeholder updates.

Change any of them, or delete what you don't need. They're ordinary vault items.

Remove them all

Every example is tagged #example. To remove them, go to Settings → Resets and press Reset beside Examples. Everything you saved yourself stays. An example you've edited is still tagged, so remove the tag first if you want to keep it.
