Save prompts, instructions and skills

Save something once and it's one click away from then on. You can add to the vault from the toolbar panel, a right-click, an AI chat, or the Vault page in Settings.

Four ways to add an item

  • Toolbar panel: press + (Add to your vault), choose what it is, give it a title and paste the text. Use the page's selected text fills it in from what you've selected.
  • Right-click: select text on any page, right-click and choose Save selection as a prompt (or as instructions, a skill, an emoji or a Slack message).
  • On an AI site: point at something you've sent and press Save to vault.
  • Settings → Vault: press New item for the full editor.

What an item can hold

  • What it is: Prompt, Instructions, Skill, Emoji or Slack message.
  • Title and Text. In the text, write {{name}} for a blank you fill in each time. See Leave blanks to fill in.
  • Where it's stored: in this vault, or at a file path or web address if it lives somewhere else.
  • How you call it: for a skill, the command that runs it, such as /my-skill.
  • Platforms it's for, Tags, Notes, and a favorite star. Favorites come first in every list.

Skills that live somewhere else

A skill in Claude Code, a custom GPT, a Gem or a project's instructions doesn't have to be copied in. Note where it's stored and how you call it, and link it to the platforms you use it with. To save a link as a skill's location, right-click it and choose Save link as a skill's location.

Find it again

On Settings → Vault, filter by kind (All, Prompts, Instructions, Skills, Slack messages) or by platform, and sort by Recently used, Recently changed, A to Z or Most used. Each card shows how often you've used the item, and when and where you last did.
