Copy for Slack and Slack templates

AI answers come back in Markdown, which Slack shows as stray # and ** characters. Copy for Slack turns them into Slack's own formatting, and Slack message templates keep the updates you send every week.

Copy an answer for Slack

  1. On an AI site, point at an answer and press Copy for Slack.
  2. Paste into any Slack message.

Headings become bold lines, tables line up in a code block, and bold, italics, lists, links, quotes and code are kept. On any other page, select text, right-click and choose Copy for Slack. Switch it on or off under Settings → On AI sites → Slack.

Keep Slack message templates

  1. Add a new item and set What it is to Slack message.
  2. Write it in Markdown, with {{fill-ins}} for the parts that change. The editor shows How it looks in Slack as you type.
  3. In Slack, open the toolbar panel, pick the template, fill in the blanks and press Insert. It lands in Slack's message box already formatted. Or press Copy.

The example sets include templates for the daily stand-up, review requests, incident updates, deploy announcements and stakeholder updates. See Start with the example sets.
