Use the Vault tab on AI sites

On the AI sites you use most, Noggin works beside the conversation: it points out what you've already saved, offers to save what you haven't, and puts your vault one click from the prompt box.

Where it runs

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, Le Chat, DeepSeek and Poe are built in. You can add your own sites too: see Platforms, products and your own sites.

While you chat

  • Outlines: anything you've sent that matches a saved item is outlined, and pointing at it names the item, so you can tell a saved prompt from a one-off.
  • Save to vault: point at anything else you've sent and press the button to save it.
  • The Vault tab: a tab on the right edge opens your vault beside the page, this site's items first. Fill in the blanks and insert into the prompt box.
  • Copy for Slack: point at the AI's answer to copy it ready for Slack. See Copy for Slack and Slack templates.
  • Shortcodes: type an emoji's shortcode in the prompt box and it becomes the emoji. See Keep your emoji and shortcodes.

The keyboard shortcut

Press Ctrl+Shift+Y (Command+Shift+Y on a Mac) to open and close the vault beside the page, even with the Vault tab hidden. Chrome holds the shortcut, so it's changed on Chrome's chrome://extensions/shortcuts page: Settings → On AI sites → Change shortcut… takes you there.

Switch parts off

Each part has its own switch under Settings → On AI sites. To keep the helper off a site entirely, switch the site off under Settings → Sites; the toolbar panel and the right-click menu still work there.
