Retiring soon — and how to move over
URLflows for Individuals was the first generation of URLflows, and it is being retired soon. It's still on the Chrome Web Store today and your sections are still on your own machine, but it no longer gets new work, and in time it will come off the store. Nothing vanishes from your browser when that happens — but it won't get further fixes or browser-compatibility updates either, so now is the time to move.
URLflows for Teams is where all of that work went — and it is a considerably better product. It does everything this sidebar does, and adds what a local-only sidebar never could:
- The same bookmarks on every device you use — not just this machine
- A bar you can share with a whole team, or keep entirely to yourself (a team of one works fine)
- Three surfaces for the same links: a docked bar on every page, Chrome's side panel, or a New Tab page
- Every new tool and fix — all of it lands there
Moving over takes a couple of minutes: export a JSON backup of your sections first so your links are to hand, then install Teams. It's private, free, forever, exactly like this one 🙂
How to install
- Click Add to Chrome above (the label adapts to your browser — "Add to Edge", "Add to Brave", etc.) and confirm the permissions prompt.
- Pin it from the puzzle-piece Extensions menu so it's always one click away.
- Click the icon to open the sidebar and pick a launch mode.
Browser support: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi and other Chromium-based browsers all install from the same Chrome Web Store listing. No Firefox or Safari.
