What URLflows for Individuals does

The short version

URLflows for Individuals turns your bookmarks from a flat dropdown into organized, launch-ready sections. Every link can open exactly where and how you want it — in a new tab, a sized window, an app-mode window, or pinned to a specific tab position.

Who it's for

• Developers juggling docs, dashboards, and tooling across multiple windows.
• Writers and researchers who live in the browser and want predictable setups.
• Anyone who resets their tabs throughout the day and wants that reset to take one click.

Why it exists

Browsers treat every bookmark the same — a URL and a title. But the way you use a bookmark varies: a design doc might belong in an app-mode window, a dashboard might need a specific size, and a standup link only matters between 9 and 10am. URLflows for Individuals lets you encode those preferences once and launch them on demand.

Is URLflows for Individuals being retired?

Yes — soon. This was the first generation of URLflows. It's still on the Chrome Web Store today and your sections are still on your own machine, but it no longer gets new work, and in time it will come off the store.

URLflows for Teams is where all of our work now goes — and it's a considerably better product. It does everything this sidebar does and adds what a local-only sidebar can't: the same bookmarks on every device you use, and a bar you can share with teammates — or keep entirely to yourself. Export a backup of your sections, then move over 🙂
