Install Feedback Smack

Feedback Smack installs from the Chrome Web Store in a few seconds. Fill in your name and email once, and you're ready to give feedback on any page.

Add it to your browser

  1. Open the Feedback Smack by URLflows listing on the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome (the label adapts to your browser: "Add to Edge", "Add to Brave" and so on), then Add extension.
  3. The settings page opens at Getting Started, with a short tour of what the extension does.

Chrome warns that the extension can read and change data on the websites you visit and know your email address. It needs the first to capture a page and read its details when you ask, and the second only to fill in your email; see Privacy & permissions.

Pin it to the toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon at the top right of the browser and press the pin beside Feedback Smack by URLflows, so the panel is always one click away.

Say who reports are from

Every report carries your name and email, so whoever reads it can reply. Open Settings → Report Contents and fill in Your name and Your email under From. If Chrome is signed in to a Google account, the email is filled in for you, and the name is guessed when the address looks like first.last. Both stay on this device.

Write your first report

  1. Go to any web page and click the Feedback Smack icon, or press Ctrl+Shift+Y (⌘⇧Y on a Mac). The panel opens beside the page.
  2. Pick a Kind, write the Direction, and attach a picture with Select area, Pick a part or Visible page.
  3. Press Copy report or Download. To send reports to a shared Google Sheet instead, see Send feedback to a Google Sheet.

Which browsers work

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi and other Chromium-based browsers all install from the same Chrome Web Store listing. Firefox and Safari aren't supported.
