Core How-Tos
Attach a picture of the page
Three ways to show exactly where. Each picture is taken at your display's real resolution, and the extension's own highlight and banner never appear in it.
Select area
Press Select area in the panel, then drag a box over the page. Just that area is attached, cropped at your display's real resolution. Press Esc to cancel.
Pick a part
- Press Pick a part, then point at the page. The part under the pointer is highlighted.
- Press ↑ to widen it to the part around it, and ↓ to narrow it back.
- Click, or press Enter, to attach it. Esc cancels.
A picked part brings its picture, its text and a CSS selector that finds it again. Its HTML comes too, unless you turn that off in Settings → Report Contents. A part larger than the window is pictured as far as it shows.
Visible page
Press Visible page to attach everything in view in the tab.
PNG or JPEG
Captures are saved as PNG, which keeps text and thin lines sharp. In Settings → Captures you can switch to JPEG, which makes reports with many pictures much smaller to email, with slightly soft text.
Pages that can't be captured
Chrome keeps extensions off chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store and other extensions' pages, so nothing can be captured there.
