Customize themes, link styles & toolbar

Pick a theme

Choose from 130+ built-in themes to match your taste or your browser's look. Try a few and settle on the one that's easiest on your eyes.

They're sorted into groups so you're not scrolling one long list: Brand (URLflows light and dark), Foundation (Light, Dark, High Contrast, Mono, Paper, Slate, GitHub, Solarized), Editor (Midnight, Nord, Dracula, Monokai, One Dark, Gruvbox, Tokyo Night, Catppuccin, Material Ocean), plus Cool & Calm, Nature, Warm, and Bold & Vivid. Pick System to follow your operating system's light/dark setting instead. The default is Material Ocean.

You can also build your own — start from any built-in, adjust its colours, and save it as a custom theme.

Set your light / dark pair

The sun/moon button on the bar, the popup, and the New Tab page doesn't cycle through every theme — it flips between two themes you choose. Under Settings → Appearance → Light / dark toggle, pick which theme is your light one and which is your dark one; the button then applies your dark theme when the current palette is light, and your light theme when it's dark.

Out of the box the pair is Material Ocean Light ⇄ Material Ocean, but any built-in or custom theme can fill either slot.

Choose a link style

Display your links in the layout that reads best for you:

• List — compact rows, great for long sets of links.
• Pills — rounded tags that wrap to fit.
• Cards — larger tiles with more breathing room.

Link style is set per surface — the bar, the side panel, and the New Tab page each keep their own choice, so you can have compact rows on the bar and roomy cards on New Tab.

Arrange the toolbar

The toolbar is fully reorderable. Reorder the tools so your most-used ones come first, and show or hide tools to keep the bar focused on what you actually use.
