Back up & restore your settings

Save a copy of your bar configuration so you can restore it on a new machine or after a reinstall.

What gets backed up

A backup captures your bar configuration and settings, including:

  • Your connected sheets (the sources you've added).
  • Your toolbar layout.
  • Your theme and link style.
  • Your per-site overrides.

Back up your settings

You can back up your settings any time from the bar's settings. Keep the backup somewhere safe so you can return to your exact setup later.

Restore your settings

To restore, bring your saved backup into the bar's settings on the device you're setting up. Your sheets, layout, theme, and overrides come back just as you left them — handy when moving to a new computer or after reinstalling.

Note: this backs up settings, not bookmarks

Remember that your bookmarks themselves live in the spreadsheet, not in the extension. A backup saves your settings, not your links — your links are always safe in the sheet you control, and reconnect automatically once the sheet source is restored.
