Install Playfull

Playfull installs from the Chrome Web Store in a few seconds, asks for nothing with a warning, and comes with a hundred live stations ready to play.

Add it to your browser

  1. Open the Playfull by URLflows listing on the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome (the label adapts to your browser: "Add to Edge", "Add to Brave" and so on), then Add extension.
  3. The settings page opens at Getting Started, with a short tour of what the extension does.

No permission carries an install warning. Playfull asks for more only when you turn on a feature that needs it; see Privacy & permissions.

Pin it to the toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon at the top right of the browser and press the pin beside Playfull by URLflows. The icon stays in the toolbar, where its badge shows how many things are playing.

Play your first stream

  1. Click the Playfull icon to open the toolbar panel.
  2. Under Your streams, two stations are already switched on: NPR Program Stream and BBC World Service.
  3. Press Play beside one. It plays right there in the panel and keeps playing after the panel closes.

The other 98 suggested stations are saved but switched off. Turn on the ones you like in Settings → Library.

Which browsers work

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi and other Chromium-based browsers all install from the same Chrome Web Store listing. Firefox and Safari aren't supported.
