Save streams to your library

Everything you save lives in Settings → Library. Paste an address once and it is one click away in the toolbar panel from then on.

Add a stream

  1. Click the Playfull icon, then the gear, and open Library.
  2. Under Add a stream, paste the Address: a streaming site, a radio station's page, a live stream address, or a direct audio or video file.
  3. Optionally give it a Title. If you leave it empty, Playfull uses the site or file name.
  4. Leave Plays in on Auto, or choose one yourself (see below), and press Save stream.

New streams are switched on, so they show in the toolbar panel straight away. Saving an address you've already saved simply switches that stream on.

Choose where it plays

Plays in has four choices:

  • Auto goes by the address's ending: common audio and video file endings and .m3u8 live streams play in Playfull's player, and anything else opens as the page.
  • Playfull's player (audio) is the one to pick for a live radio stream whose address has no file ending. It plays in the compact player with pause and play, and can play right in the panel.
  • Playfull's player (video) plays a video file or stream, with picture in picture.
  • The page itself opens the address as a web page in the player window.

Switch streams on and off

Each saved stream has a switch in the On column. Only enabled streams show in the toolbar panel, so you can keep a long library without a long panel. Filter the list by Enabled or Disabled and by category, then use Enable shown or Disable shown to switch everything in view at once.

Rename, reorder or delete

  • Edit a stream to change its title, address or Plays in.
  • Drag a stream by its handle to move it, here or in the toolbar panel. You can also focus the handle and use the up and down arrow keys. Clear any filter first.
  • The panel follows your order. To list the most recently played first instead, change Toolbar panel order under Saved streams.

The suggested stations

A fresh install saves 100 live stations that play in Playfull's own player, sorted into twelve categories. Music, culture and public radio only, with no talk, opinion or political stations. Each shows its 2026 listener rating from myTuner Radio where one was found. Delete any you don't want; Suggested streams → Add the missing ones puts them back, switched off.
