Set up the mini player

Settings → Mini Player decides where popped-out streams open and how big they are. Settings → Toolbar Badge decides what the number on the icon counts.

Window or tab

Pop out streams into has two choices:

  • A mini player window (the default): a compact window with no address bar or tabs.
  • A new tab: a normal browser tab.

Either way, Play still keeps an audio stream in the toolbar panel; this choice only applies when a stream pops out.

Player size

Mini player size is Small, Medium (the default) or Large. Resize a player window yourself and it keeps that size until you choose another size here. Player windows and the pop-out panel reopen where you last left them.

Start files straight away

Start audio and video files straight away is on by default. It applies to streams in Playfull's own player; streaming sites decide this for themselves.

What the toolbar badge counts

In Settings → Toolbar Badge:

  • Show how many are playing turns the number on or off. The icon's tooltip always says the count.
  • Count other tabs playing sound too adds every other tab Chrome shows the speaker on. Turn it off to count only Playfull's own players.

Put it back

Settings → Resets has a reset for the mini player (a medium window that starts files straight away, and forgets where windows were left) and one for the toolbar badge.
