Themes, light and dark, and animation
Settings → Appearance sets how the toolbar panel, the mini player and the settings page look, along with the color of the toolbar badge.
Pick a theme
- Dark (the default) and Light, the URLflows family pair.
- Seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, plus Auto: current season, which changes with the time of year.
- Holidays: New Year's, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Harvest and Winter Holidays.
The light/dark switch
The sun and moon button, in the toolbar panel's header and beside the name at the top of the settings page, switches between Light and the last dark theme you used.
Animation
Animation in the toolbar panel drifts snowfall, falling leaves, spring petals or summer fireflies behind the toolbar panel, its pop-out window and the mini player window. It sits behind everything and never over a video. Match the theme picks one for a season or holiday theme, and nothing for the others.
It's off by default, and always off when your computer is set to reduce motion. It never runs on web pages.
Put it back
The Appearance reset in Settings → Resets returns to the default theme with the animation off.
