Back up, restore and reset
Your library isn't synced between devices. A backup file is how you move it, or keep a safety copy.
Export a backup
Open Settings → Backup & Restore and press Export backup (.json). The file holds everything the extension stores: your saved streams, the mini player and badge settings, your theme and the animation.
Import a backup
Press Import backup… and choose the file, on this computer or another one. Importing replaces every setting and your whole library with the file's.
Permissions you gave Chrome aren't in the file. If you used Other tabs, turn it on again after importing.
Reset one area
Settings → Resets puts a single area back to its defaults without touching the rest:
- Library: back to the hundred suggested streams, with NPR and BBC World Service switched on. Every other saved stream is deleted.
- Mini player: a medium window that starts files straight away; windows forget where they were left.
- Toolbar badge: shows the playing count again, counting other tabs too.
- Other tabs: stops listing other tabs and gives back the tab and site permissions.
- Appearance: the default theme with the animation off.
Players that are open keep playing.
Reset everything
Reset all settings returns the extension to a fresh install, with the hundred suggested streams. It can't be undone, so export a backup first if you want one.
