Core How-Tos
See and control what's playing
The number on the toolbar icon tells you how many things are playing. The panel lets you do something about it.
The toolbar badge
The badge shows how many things are playing right now. A Playfull player counts while it's playing, even muted; a page counts while Chrome hears sound from its tab. By default other tabs playing sound count too, so the badge covers everything playing in the browser. Hover the icon and its tooltip gives the count as well.
To count only your own streams, or to hide the number, see Settings → Toolbar Badge.
Now playing
Open the toolbar panel to see every player Playfull has open. For each you can:
- pause or play it,
- mute it,
- show it (bring its window or tab to the front), or pop it out if it's playing in the panel,
- close it.
The close button in the panel's header closes every player at once.
Pop the panel out
The pop-out button in the panel's header opens the whole panel in its own small window, with no address bar, tabs or bookmarks bar. Only one is open at a time; pressing the button again brings it to the front. It reopens where you left it.
Other tabs playing sound
Turn on Settings → Other Tabs and the panel adds an Also playing list for every other tab making sound. See Control other tabs playing sound.
