Hide Rovo Chat

Jira offers no built-in way to turn off its Rovo AI assistant, so the chat button follows you around whether you use it or not. One toggle takes it off your screen.

Turn it on

Switch on Hide Rovo Chat under Settings → Appearance. It applies to the Jira tabs you already have open immediately — no reload.

What it hides

  • The floating chat button.
  • The Chat button in the top navigation.
  • The chat side panel.
  • The editor's Ask Rovo button.

It's cosmetic, not administrative

This hides Rovo's entry points in your browser. It does not disable Rovo on your Atlassian site, change anything for your colleagues, or alter any admin setting — Rovo stays enabled, just out of your sight. Turn the toggle off and everything comes back.

If you need Rovo genuinely switched off for the site, that's a Jira admin change and has to be made in Atlassian's own settings.
