Highlight the card you're hovering
Keep your place on a busy board. URLflows can spotlight the card and its subtask block under your cursor, in a style that suits you.
Choose a hover-highlight style
On a dense board it's easy to lose track of which card you're reading. The hover highlight lights up the card and its subtask block as one unit, so your eye never loses the pair. Pick a style under Settings → Appearance → Hover Highlight — a live preview card on the settings page shows each one before you commit. There are ten, in three groups:
- Professional — Spotlight Ring, Clean Border (the default), Accent Bar, Subtle Tint.
- Casual — Dashed Outline, Lift & Shadow, Double Line.
- Fun — Pulse, Neon Glow, Bounce.
If your system asks for reduced motion, the moving styles respect it — Pulse settles to a static ring rather than breathing indefinitely.
Adjust the subtask text size
Subtasks render at a comfortable default size, but you can scale them up for a bigger screen or a more glanceable board. Settings → Subtasks → Subtask text size is a slider from 100% to 250%.
That one is for the lists on Jira's own cards. The notes pad is sized separately, under Settings → Appearance → Text size — see Use Jira Notes & Guidance.
Collapsible subtask indicator
When a card has subtasks that aren't currently expanded, a compact "N subtasks" chip with a chevron appears beneath it. Click the chip to expand the full list, and collapse it again when you're done — handy for keeping a crowded board tidy.
