Core How-Tos
Celebrate completed issues
Finishing work should feel good. Drag an issue into Done and URLflows plays a quick celebration over your board.
How it works
When you drag an issue card into a column that counts as "done", URLflows plays a short animation over the board and then clears itself out of the way. It's purely a visual flourish — nothing is written to Jira, and the celebration disappears on its own.
Pick an animation style
Open the extension's options page and choose from eight celebration styles. Use the Preview button to see each one before you commit:
- Confetti Shower
- Fireworks
- Shooting Stars
- Floating Balloons
- Party Poppers
- Emoji Burst
- Hearts
- Trophy Pop
Every issue, or only yours
Celebrate when controls the trigger, with three settings:
- Never — celebrations off, without disturbing any of your other choices.
- Any issue is moved to Done — celebrate whenever any card on the board completes.
- Only issues assigned to me — so the board stays calm when teammates close out their work.
Choose which statuses count as "done"
By default — with everything left unticked — anything in Jira's Done category celebrates. If your board uses custom workflow statuses, Celebrate these statuses lets you tick exactly which names should count.
The list fills itself in with statuses discovered as you browse your boards, so it gets more useful the more you use it, and there's a free-text field for any others. That discovered list is deliberately never cleared by a reset — otherwise the checkboxes would sit empty until you'd browsed every board again.
It won't fire when you don't expect it
- Only genuine status transitions celebrate — nothing fires retroactively for work that was already Done when the page loaded.
- Celebrations are throttled, so a batch of cards completing at once plays a single animation rather than a pile-up.
- Nothing is written to Jira. It's purely a visual flourish, and it clears itself out of the way.
Reduced motion & turning it off
Celebrations honour your operating system's reduced-motion setting: if you've asked your system to minimise motion, the animation automatically slows and thins to around 40% of its particles over fewer bursts. Prefer none at all? Set Celebrate when to Never.
