Choose your units

Units decide how temperatures, wind and rain are shown, in the toolbar panel and on the icon. They start from your browser's language.

Change your units

Open Settings → Units. Under Measurements:

  • Temperature: Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
  • Wind speed: kilometers per hour (km/h), miles per hour (mph), meters per second (m/s) or knots.
  • Rain and snow: millimeters (mm) or inches (in).

The panel and the icon change straight away.

The defaults

If your browser's language is set to the United States (or Liberia or Myanmar), Sweata Weatha starts with Fahrenheit, mph and inches. Everywhere else it starts with Celsius, km/h and millimeters. The browser's language also picks the air quality scale in the panel: the US AQI for the US, the European AQI elsewhere.

To go back to the defaults, use Settings → Resets → Units.
