Back up, restore and reset

Backup & Restore puts your places and settings in one file, to restore later or in another browser. Resets put one area back to its defaults, or everything at once.

Back up

Open Settings → Backup & Restore and press Export backup (.json). The file lands in your Downloads folder, named urlflows-sweata-weatha-backup- plus the date. It holds your places, units, the radar and toolbar icon settings, your theme and the animation.

The last forecast is a cache, so it's left out.

Restore

On the same page, press Import backup… and choose the file. Importing replaces your settings with the file's and adds its places to yours; places you already have are skipped. Use it to move to a new computer or another Chromium browser.

Reset one area

Settings → Resets → Reset a single area restores just that area and touches nothing else:

  • Places: removes every saved place. The panel and the icon go blank until you add one.
  • Units: back to the units for your browser's language.
  • Radar: back to the Region zoom with the loop playing, and the panel opening on the forecast.
  • Toolbar icon: shows the temperature on the icon again, and a click opens the panel.
  • Appearance: back to the Dark theme with the animation off.

Reset everything

Reset all settings, under Reset all, returns the extension to a fresh install: your places, units, the radar and toolbar icon settings, the theme and the animation. It can't be undone, so export a backup first if you want one.
