Getting Started
Install Copy:Paste+
Copy:Paste+ installs from the Chrome Web Store in a few seconds and works straight away: paste cleanup and the copies window are both on from the start.
Add it to your browser
- Open the Copy:Paste+ by URLflows listing on the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome (the label adapts to your browser: "Add to Edge", "Add to Brave" and so on), then Add extension.
- The settings page opens at Getting Started, with a short tour of what the extension does.
Chrome warns that the extension can read and change data on the websites you visit. It needs that to clean what you paste into editors and to see what you copy there; nothing is collected or sent. See Privacy & permissions.
Pin it to the toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon at the top right of the browser and press the pin beside Copy:Paste+ by URLflows. Its toolbar panel holds the everyday switches and the four screen grabs.
Try it
- Copy some text from any web page. A small copies window opens beside the browser with what you copied.
- Click into an editor (a mail composer, a document, a ticket) and paste with Ctrl+V as usual. The pasted text keeps its bold, lists and links but leaves the source page's colors and backgrounds behind.
- Copy a few more things, then press Alt+2 in the editor to paste the second-newest.
Pages that were already open when you installed get the extension as you switch to them; there's no need to reload them.
Which browsers work
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi and other Chromium-based browsers all install from the same Chrome Web Store listing. Firefox and Safari aren't supported.
