Use the copies window

By default, Copy:Paste+ keeps your copies in a small window of its own, outside your tabs, so they're still there as you move between tabs and pages.

What it shows

Up to nine recent copies from every tab, newest first, plus any you've pinned. Each copy names the page it came from. The window opens by itself when you copy and it's closed, without taking you away from the page you're working on, so keep it beside the browser rather than behind it. You can also open it from the window button in the toolbar panel.

Paste from the window

  1. Click into a text box or editor on the page where you want the copy.
  2. In the copies window, press Paste on a copy (or Plain for plain text). The window switches back to the tab you were last in and pastes where its cursor was.
  3. Or press Copy to put that copy on the clipboard, then paste with Ctrl+V.

The window's numbers match the hotkeys: Alt+1 on the page pastes the window's first copy, Alt+2 the second, and so on. See Paste with hotkeys.

Prefer cards on the page?

Clear In a window of their own in the toolbar panel, or Show them in a window of their own in Settings → Copying. Your copies then show as cards on the page instead. See Use copy cards on the page.
