Core How-Tos
Plan promotions and keep a timeline
Chromie Homie by URLflows keeps track of where each extension has been promoted, gives each channel its own tagged store link so the dashboard counts what it brought, and puts promotions and releases on your charts.
Channels and tagged links
Open Settings → Promotion and pick an extension. Channels lists places to promote it (Product Hunt, Show HN, Reddit, Indie Hackers, newsletters, your own site, video, social, GitHub, the store's publisher page, Edge Add-ons and more), each with a status, a date and a link. Each channel has a store link tagged for it; set the Campaign name in the tagged links and copy it.
The dashboard's Impressions page counts page views by campaign. Export that chart as CSV and import it on Analytics to see what each link brought.
Results
Results shows, for each channel you've used, the page views from its tagged links, and the installs and users in the week after each post against the week before. A channel counts once it's marked Done or added to the timeline.
Release notes and Coming up
Release notes drafts notes for the extension picked from what changed since its release before last: ideas marked Done, notes and releases on the timeline, and listing changes. It needs Chrome's built-in model; press Copy to take them. Coming up lists dates to plan around, such as Chrome's two-weekly releases and the store's end-of-year list; "Expected" means a guess from the pattern.
The timeline
On Settings → Timeline, use Add an event to record a promotion, a release or a note, with its extension, kind, date and an optional link, then press Add to the timeline. Listing edits, new versions, jumps in users and low reviews are noted automatically. With Show events on the charts on, each event is a dashed line on its date.
