Use the on-device AI
Where Chrome's built-in model (Gemini Nano) can run, Chromie Homie by URLflows uses it to sort feedback, draft replies and listing text, and write up your numbers. It runs on your computer, and every action that uses it is marked with a sparkle.
What it does
- Feedback: sorts each review and question (bug, request, praise, confused; its topic; whether it's urgent), files new problems and requests as ideas with their mentions counted, and drafts replies to reviews.
- Scorecard: Write the brief words up what changed, and Ask reads a question in your own words. The toolbar panel shows the brief's first sentence.
- Listings: Suggest summaries that fit 132 characters, Proofread the description and Check against the policies.
- Promotion: drafts a post for each channel that takes one, and Draft release notes.
How its answers are checked
The numbers are worked out by Chromie Homie, not by the model. A sentence with a number that isn't in the facts is left out; a listing fix must point at text that's really there; a policy finding must quote it. Nothing changes in your listing until you paste it into the dashboard yourself.
Translating
Chrome's built-in Language Detector and Translator are models of their own, so they may work where Gemini Nano doesn't. They mark reviews and questions in other languages and translate them into English under the original, and Translate the listing translates a summary and description, your users' languages (from the Language breakdown) offered first.
Getting the model
On Settings → Feedback → On-device AI, press Download the model. Chrome downloads and manages it the first time; nothing uses it until you click. Where the model can't run on your computer, every feature still works the same without it: the facts are the brief, and Ask's lookups work by hand.
