Back up, restore and reset

Everything Chromie Homie by URLflows keeps lives in this browser, so a backup file is how you move it, or keep it safe. Settings → Backup & Restore writes it, and Settings → Resets clears one area at a time.

Make a backup

Open Settings → Backup & Restore and press Export backup (.json), or press Back up in the toolbar panel's header for the same file in one click. It holds your extensions, their pictures and publisher IDs, every imported CSV with its breakdowns, the listings and daily users and ratings, the timeline, reviews, support questions, ideas, promotion channels, capabilities, the loop checklist, your settings, theme, animation and customized themes. Only the performance history, the pop-out window's place on screen and the last brief are left out.

The Back up button is highlighted when there's been no backup in a week, or the last one holds less than what's stored. Save a copy somewhere other than this browser now and then.

Restore

Press Import backup… and pick the file. Importing replaces what's stored with the file's, so a copy of what's there is saved to your Downloads folder first.

Reset one area

Settings → Resets → Reset a single area puts one area back without touching the rest: Extensions (and everything stored about them), Analytics, Listings, Timeline, Feedback, Promotion, Capabilities, Preferences, Appearance, Customized themes and the Pride month question.

Reset all

Reset all settings returns the extension to a fresh install. A backup of it all is saved to Downloads first.
