Download and open Next Up

Next Up is a single HTML file that runs on your own computer. There are two versions — one for personal Google accounts and one for work or school accounts — and the only difference is the setup instructions inside.

Pick the right file

Next Up for personal accounts (next_up_personal.html) — for a regular Google account, such as a Gmail address.
Next Up for Google Workspace accounts (next_up_workspace.html) — for a calendar on a company or school account.

Using both? Download both — they keep separate settings.

Keep it somewhere it can stay

Move the file out of your Downloads folder to somewhere permanent, such as your Documents folder. Next Up saves your settings for the file's location, so if you move it later you'll need to connect again.

Open it in Chrome

Double-click the file. If it opens in a different browser, right-click it and choose Open with → Google Chrome, or drag it onto a Chrome window. Then bookmark the page, or pin the tab, so it's one click away.

Update to a new version

Download the new version and replace the old file — same folder, same name. Your connection, calendars, alerts, layout and theme all stay, because they're saved for that location.
