Back up, restore and reset

Export a backup

Open Settings → Backup & Restore and click Export backup (.json). The file holds your name and report settings, the capture format, your connected spreadsheets and their keys, your theme and animation, and every saved report with its pictures. Reports still being written aren't included.

The file holds connection keys, so keep it private.

Restore it

Click Import backup… and choose the file. Importing replaces every setting with the file's, and adds its saved reports to the ones already here; a report already here is kept as it is.

Reset one area

Settings → Resets → Reset a single area restores just that area and touches nothing else:

• Report contents: clears your name, starts new reports as a Bug, includes every group of details again and includes a part's HTML.
• Captures: back to PNG.
• Google Sheets: disconnects every spreadsheet on this device. Nothing in the spreadsheets or in Drive is deleted, and you can join again with the URL and key.
• Saved reports: deletes every saved report and keeps new ones again.
• Appearance: the default theme, with the animation off.
• Keyboard shortcuts: Chrome holds these, so they're changed or cleared on Chrome's own shortcuts page.

Reset everything

Reset all settings returns the extension to a fresh install, including every saved report and every report still being written. It can't be undone, so export a backup first if you want one.
