Choose and arrange your tools

The toolbar panel shows every tool by default. Keep the ones you use, in the order you reach for them, from the settings page.

Open the settings page

Click the gear in the toolbar panel, or the Settings link at the bottom of it. The search box at the top finds any setting; press / to jump to it.

Switch tools off and reorder them

  1. Go to Tools and find Toolbar panel.
  2. Use a tool's switch to take it out of the panel, or put it back.
  3. Drag a tool by its handle to move it within its group. Prefer the keyboard? Focus the handle and use the arrow keys.

Tools stay in their group — Capture, This page, Support or Browser — so the panel keeps the same four headings. Ask AI (experimental) always shows in Support, so you know it's there.

Set your defaults

  • Screen grabs — copy, save a file, or both, and whether to include scrollbars.
  • Mask PII — which kinds of personal detail to cover, and solid bars or dots. The panel offers the same choices each time.
  • Container zoom — every site where Zoom area keeps one part of the page zoomed.
  • Hidden Elements — every page with hidden elements. Restore one, or everything on a page.
  • Appearance — a dark or light theme for the panel, the settings page and the tools' hints on the page.

Back up and restore

Under Backup & Restore, Export backup (.json) saves one file with your tool list, screen grab and Mask PII settings, container zooms, every hidden element and your theme. Import backup… on another computer merges hidden elements and container zooms with what's already there — nothing is overwritten and duplicates are skipped — and restores the file's settings.

Reset

Resets puts one area back to its defaults without touching the rest — for example every tool switched on, in the original order — or Reset all starts over.
