Choose and order your tools

Settings → Tools decides what the DevTools+ by URLflows toolbar panel shows and in which order, and holds the settings of the tools that have any. Changes save as you make them.

Open the settings

Click the gear in the toolbar panel's header, or the Settings link at its foot, then choose Tools. To find one setting fast, type in Search settings at the top of the left column (press / to jump there).

The toolbar panel's list

Under Toolbar panel, every tool is listed under the panel's five headings: Capture, Inspect, Debug, This page and Utilities. Each row says in one line what the tool does.

  • Hide a tool: clear its checkbox. A tool switched off leaves the panel; its shortcut and right-click item, if it has one, still work.
  • Move a tool: drag it by its handle, or focus the handle and press the up and down arrow keys. A tool moves within its own group; the groups themselves stay in the same order.

Settings → Resets → Toolbar panel switches every tool back on, in the original order.

AI tools

The panel's AI tools view opens your AI products, each in a new tab. Under AI tools in Settings:

  • Codex (OpenAI), Claude Code (Anthropic) and Copilot (GitHub) are on to start.
  • ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, AI Studio, NotebookLM, Copilot (Microsoft), Claude Design, Make (Figma) and Mermaid are a checkbox away.
  • Use the up and down arrows to change the order.
  • Add your own: type a Name and its https:// address, then press Add. Only tools you added have a delete button.

The gear in the panel's AI tools view brings you straight here. Settings → Resets → AI tools puts back the starting three and removes the ones you added.

Screen grabs and recording

  • After a grab: Copy and save a file (the default), Copy to the clipboard or Save a file. If the page can't reach the clipboard, the grab is saved as a file instead, so nothing is lost.
  • Include scrollbars: applies to Screen grab, Selection area grab and Full page grab. Off by default.
  • Record the tab → Include the tab's sound: on by default. Recordings save to Downloads as WebM video, and you still hear the tab while it records.

Color picker

Copy a picked color as sets the format copied the moment you pick: HEX (the default), RGB, HSL or OKLCH. Recent colors shows the last twelve you picked, newest first. Settings → Resets → Color picker goes back to HEX and forgets them.

Layout grid

Match the Layout grid overlay to your design system's grid. Changes show on open pages straight away.

  • Columns (1 to 24; 12 to start), Gutter (px) (24), Max width (px) (1200), Side margin (px) (16) and Color.
  • Baseline (px) draws horizontal rows at that spacing. It starts at 0, which draws no rows.
  • A max width of 0 fills the window.

Mask PII

Under What to mask, choose any of Email addresses, Phone numbers, Credit cards, US SSNs, IP addresses, Postal and shipping addresses and Names (all on to start). Mask style is Solid bars or Dots ••••. The Mask PII view in the toolbar panel shows the same choices, so you can change them there too.

Container zoom

Container zoom lists the sites where Zoom area keeps one part of the page zoomed, with each zoom level. Press the × beside a site to stop zooming there. To pick or change a container, open the toolbar panel on that site and choose Zoom area.

Right-click menu and shortcuts

The last two cards on the page switch the right-click menu on or off and list your keyboard shortcuts. Right-click menu, shortcuts and the Elements tab covers both.

Hidden elements

Settings → Hidden Elements lists everything Hide page elements (or the right-click Hide this element) has hidden, grouped by page, with a count at the top.

  • Each page is its site and path, so an element hidden on one page stays visible on the site's other pages.
  • Press the × beside an element to restore just that one, or Restore page to bring back everything on that page.
  • Open tabs update right away.

Settings → Resets → Hidden elements brings back every hidden element on every page.
