Privacy Policy: Sweata Weatha by URLflows

Last updated: 25 October 2026

Sweata Weatha by URLflows is a Chrome extension that shows the weather for the places you choose, now and for the week ahead, with air quality, pollen and a rain radar, one click from the toolbar. This policy says exactly what it does with data. The short version: your places and settings stay on your device, and the extension cannot see the pages you visit. To show the weather it asks three weather and map services for data about the places you choose, and nothing about you. After you uninstall, Chrome opens an optional feedback form, described below.

What it handles

Only what you give it: the towns and cities you search for and save, and your settings. It does not use your device's location; you pick each place yourself. It reads your browser's language only on your device, to choose Fahrenheit or Celsius and the US or European air quality scale to start with. It has no access to websites, so it cannot see or change the pages you visit.

Where it is kept

Everything stays in Chrome's own extension storage on your device:

A copy of the theme is also kept in the extension's own page storage so its pages open in the right colors. None of it is synced between devices or sent to the developer. Settings › Backup & Restore writes your places and settings to a JSON file on your computer, and imports it again, only when you ask. Settings › Resets › Reset all settings deletes it at any time, and uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.

Weather and map services it asks

To show the weather, the extension asks three free services for data, straight from your browser. There is no server of the developer's in between. It sends each only what it needs:

Like any website, these services see each request and your IP address, and their own privacy policies apply to what they do with it: Open-Meteo, RainViewer and Esri. The extension never sends them your browsing history, the pages you visit, or anything about you beyond the above. The radar's credit line links to RainViewer, Esri and OpenStreetMap; those open only when you click them.

Uninstall feedback form

When you remove Sweata Weatha from Chrome, Chrome opens a short feedback form in a new tab. Answering is optional, and you can just close the tab. The extension sends nothing to the form: the form's link only says which extension you removed. The form is hosted by Airtable, so anything you type there goes to Airtable and to the developer, under Airtable's privacy policy.

What it does not do

Permissions it asks for, and why

PermissionWhy it is needed
storageTo keep your places, settings and the last forecast described above.
alarmsTo refresh the forecast, and the temperature on the toolbar icon, every 15 minutes.

It asks for no access to websites.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes what data the extension handles, this policy will be updated, and the store listing will say so, before that version ships.
