Privacy Policy: Chromie Homie by URLflows
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Chromie Homie by URLflows is a Chrome extension for developers who publish extensions on the Chrome Web Store. It keeps each of your extensions' listings, numbers, reviews and support questions in one place, with links to its Developer Dashboard pages. This policy says exactly what it does with data. The short version: everything stays on your device. The extension collects nothing for the developer and sends nothing anywhere.
What it reads
Only what you give it:
- Pages you paste in: the source of your Developer Dashboard page, an extension's store page, its reviews page or the dashboard's support page. The extension reads them on your device and keeps the parts it needs (each extension's listing details, its public users and rating, reviews and support questions with the names their authors show publicly, and your publisher account names and ID). The pasted text itself is not kept.
- CSV files you drop in: the analytics the dashboard exports (users, installs, impressions, ratings and their breakdowns).
- What you type: extensions added by ID or address, notes, promotion plans, timeline events, ideas, capability tags and settings.
It has no access to any website and does not read pages on its own.
Where it is kept
Everything stays in Chrome's own extension storage on your device (chrome.storage.local), plus the pop-out window's ID in chrome.storage.session while the browser runs. It also keeps 30 days of the extension's own performance on this computer (how fast its pages open, their memory, its background start-ups and the storage it uses) for the About page; that holds nothing about your extensions, is left out of backups and is cleared by Reset all.
None of it is synced between devices or sent to the developer. Settings › Backup & Restore writes it to a JSON file on your computer, and imports it again, only when you ask. Settings › Resets › Reset all settings deletes it at any time, and uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.
Links and images
Each extension links to its Developer Dashboard pages and its store page. The extension builds these addresses on your device; nothing is fetched or sent until you click one, and then it opens in a new tab like any link. Listing images read from your dashboard page show from Google's image servers, as they do on the store; your browser asks for them as it would on any page.
Chrome's built-in model
Where Chrome's built-in model (Gemini Nano) and its translation models are available, you can ask them to draft review replies, sort feedback, suggest listing wording, write a brief of your numbers or translate text. They run on your device: the text is given to them there and the answer is shown on the page; nothing is sent to a server. Chrome downloads and manages the models the first time you use one, and nothing uses them until you click.
Installed extensions (optional)
If you turn on the installed-version setting, Chrome asks you to allow the management permission. The toolbar panel then shows the version of your own extensions installed in this browser, and a list of the extensions in this browser with a switch for each. It reads that list on your device and changes nothing unless you click a switch. Turning the setting off gives the permission back.
What it does not do
- No network requests of its own. There is no backend.
- No access to web pages: it asks for no host permissions and runs no scripts on websites.
- No analytics or tracking: no usage analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers or third-party code.
- No account to sign up for.
- No sale or sharing of data: the extension collects none to sell or share.
- Nothing on uninstall: removing the extension opens no page and sends nothing.
Permissions it asks for, and why
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
storage | To keep your extensions, their listings, numbers and feedback, and your settings, as described above. |
unlimitedStorage | Analytics for many extensions over years can pass the default storage quota. |
sidePanel | To open the toolbar panel in Chrome's side panel when you choose. |
management (optional) | Only if you turn it on: installed versions and the extension switches. |
It asks for no access to websites.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what data the extension handles, this policy will be updated, and the store listing will say so, before that version ships.
