Set the close delay

The close delay is the short pause before URLflows removes the leftover launch tab — enough time for Zoom to open, but no longer than you need.

Why there's a delay

When you click a Zoom link, the launch page needs a moment to hand the meeting off to the Zoom app. Closing the tab too early could interrupt that hand-off, so URLflows waits a few seconds first. By default the delay is 6 seconds.

Change it

  1. Click the URLflows for Zoom icon in your toolbar to open the popup.
  2. Find the close delay setting and choose a value between 1 and 10 seconds.
  3. Your choice is saved and applies to the next Zoom link you open.

Picking a value

  • Shorter (1–2s) — the tab disappears almost immediately. Best if Zoom is already running and opens instantly.
  • Default (6s) — a good balance for most setups.
  • Longer (5–10s) — useful on slower machines, or if you sometimes need the launch page's "Launch Meeting" / "Join from your browser" links before the tab closes.
