Start the picker from the keyboard

The default shortcut

Press Alt+Shift+H on any page and the picker starts immediately — the banner appears and the element under your cursor begins highlighting. Press Esc to finish, exactly as if you'd started it from the popup.

The popup shows the current shortcut at the bottom, so you don't have to remember it.

Change it

Extension shortcuts are managed by Chrome, not by the extension, so they're rebound in one central place:

1. Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your address bar.
2. Find URLflows for Page Pruning in the list.
3. Click the pencil next to Toggle the element picker.
4. Press the combination you want.

On other Chromium browsers the address differs slightly — edge://extensions/shortcuts, brave://extensions/shortcuts, and so on — but the page is the same.

If the shortcut does nothing

• Another extension has claimed it. Chrome gives a combination to whichever extension registered it first. The shortcuts page shows conflicts — pick a different combination for one of them.
• You're on a restricted page. Chrome blocks extensions from running on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, and similar internal pages. Nothing will happen there, by design.
• The page hasn't finished loading. Give it a moment and try again.
• The shortcut is unset. A fresh install occasionally leaves the binding empty if the default was already taken. Set it yourself on the shortcuts page.
