Install URLflows for Page Pruning

One click from the Chrome Web Store, and you're a click away from making the first annoying thing on a page disappear. There's no account to create and nothing to configure.

Add it to your browser

  1. Open the URLflows for Page Pruning listing on the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome — the label adapts to your browser, so you may see "Add to Edge", "Add to Brave", and so on.
  3. Confirm the permissions prompt.

Pin it to your toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in your toolbar, find URLflows for Page Pruning, and click the pin. The icon then sits in your toolbar permanently, which is where you'll start the picker from.

Hide your first element

  1. Open any page with something on it you'd rather not see.
  2. Click the URLflows for Page Pruning icon and press Pick element to hide.
  3. Move your mouse over the page — whatever is under the cursor lights up.
  4. Click it. It's gone.
  5. Press Esc when you're done.

Come back to that page tomorrow, next week, or next month, and what you hid is still hidden.

Browser support

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi, and other Chromium-based browsers all install from the same Chrome Web Store listing. There's no Firefox or Safari version.
