Core How-Tos
Pin meetings and see your free time
The Next Up by URLflows extension can hold on to the meeting that matters most, and show you the free time around the rest. Neither one changes anything in your Google Calendar.
Pin a critical meeting
- Open a meeting's menu, or press the pin beside it.
- Choose Pin as critical.
The meeting stands out wherever it appears, and stays at the top of every view until you choose Unpin, even after it ends or leaves your calendar. A pin doesn't change your alerts, or which meeting counts as next.
See your free time
Turn on Show availability with the switch above the view, or in Settings → Availability. The free time between your meetings then shows on the timelines, Agenda and Steps, with things to do that fit in it.
In Settings → Availability, Count as free from and Until keep the night from counting as free time, and Shortest gap to show leaves out the short gaps.
Put something in a free space
Choose one of the things offered in a free space, and it's placed at the start of that space. To take it back, open its menu and choose Remove this.
What you place stays on this computer only. It's never added to your Google Calendar, never counts as your next meeting, and has no alerts.
Choose what it offers
Open Settings → Availability and go to Things to do. Turn off any you don't want offered, and add your own. Default length sets how long each one takes, unless you give one its own length beside its name. A free space only offers what fits in it.
