Use several Google accounts

If you have a work and a personal calendar, or several accounts, give each one its own Next Up window. Each window keeps its own settings, so they never overwrite each other.

Name your windows

In Settings → Window name, type a name such as Work or Personal. It appears as a badge in the header, in the tab title and in the taskbar, so you can tell windows apart.

Open a window for another account

  1. In Settings, open Using more than one Google account?
  2. Type a New window name and click Open new window.
  3. In the new window, run setup while signed in to the other account, with its own copy of the script.

Each window keeps its own name, calendar link, key, calendars, alerts, sounds, layout and theme. Your Next Up windows lists them all so you can reopen any of them.

Work and personal side by side

For a Google Workspace account, download the Workspace version, which has setup instructions written for work accounts; use the personal version for your own account. They're separate files, so they keep separate settings automatically.

Tip: one Chrome profile per account

If Chrome is signed in to several Google accounts at once, Google can pick the wrong one when Next Up asks for your calendar. A separate Chrome profile for each account avoids that.
