Install URLflows for Dimming

Add the extension to Chrome, pin it, and open any Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide — then dial the page down to a level that's easy on your eyes. It's private, free, forever.

1. Install from the Chrome Web Store

URLflows for Dimming is a focused Chrome extension.

  1. Open the URLflows for Dimming listing on the Chrome Web Store (or search URLflows for Dimming in the store).
  2. Click Add to Chrome, then confirm the permissions prompt.
  3. Because it comes from the Chrome Web Store, it installs the same way in Chromium browsers — Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, and Vivaldi — where the button reads "Add to Edge", "Add to Brave", and so on.

2. Pin it for quick access

Pinning keeps the popup — where the sliders, dark-mode toggle, and reset live — one click away:

  1. Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in your browser toolbar.
  2. Find URLflows for Dimming in the list and pin it so its icon stays visible.

3. Open a document and adjust

That's it — there's no sign-in and no account to create. Open any document at docs.google.com, click the URLflows for Dimming toolbar icon, and slide the page down to a comfortable level. Your settings sync across your Chrome profile and apply live, with no reload.
