Changelog

What's new across the URLflows family — Individuals, Jira, and Teams. Newest releases first.

  1. Teams

    1.0.1

Smart bookmarks land — on-device AI that files pages for you, plus faster ways to find anything in the bar.
Smart bookmarks — turn on Smart bookmarks and every page you open is quietly turned into a tidy bookmark: a cleaned-up title, a single category, and a few topical tags, collected under a Smart button on the bar with one sub-button per category. It runs on Chrome's built-in on-device AI (Gemini Nano), so nothing leaves your machine — only the page's URL, title, and basic <head> metadata are ever read, never the page body, and there's no network call and no sign-in. It's opt-in, and where the model isn't available it falls back to a simple tidy-title bookmark so you still get something useful. Give it an optional one-line role/context ("e.g. engineering manager", "home gardener") to bias categories the way you think, set how long un-revisited bookmarks stick around, cap how many category buttons show, or Reorganize now to re-file everything in one pass.
Search all bookmarks — a search box flattens every source and your Smart bookmarks into one list so you can filter and launch from a single place.
Top & Recent — new bar buttons surface your most-clicked links (Top X, count is yours to set) and your most-recently-used ones.
Group the bar's buttons by sheet tab, site, domain, group column, or tag; drag to reorder source buttons; and a smaller default edge-reveal zone (10px) so the bar is harder to summon by accident.

  2. Jira

    2.9.0

Celebrate the work that's done. 🎉
Done celebrations — drag an issue into a Done column and URLflows plays a quick celebration over the board. Pick from eight animation styles (Confetti Shower, Fireworks, Shooting Stars, Floating Balloons, Party Poppers, Emoji Burst, Hearts, Trophy Pop) and preview them right in the options page. Choose whether celebrations fire for every issue or only ones assigned to you, and customize exactly which statuses count as "done" — by default any status in Jira's done category triggers it. It honours your system reduced-motion setting, and you can switch it off entirely.

  3. Jira

    2.7.0

    June 1, 2026

    Superseded

Easier to see what you're looking at.
Hover-highlight styles — as you move across a board, URLflows can highlight the card and its subtask block under your cursor so you never lose your place. Choose from nine styles — from a subtle Clean Border or Accent Bar through to a Lift & Shadow, Pulse, or Neon Glow — with a live preview in the options page.
Adjustable subtask text size — bump the subtask font up a tier or two (Default, Large, Larger, Largest) for denser boards or bigger screens.
Collapsible subtask indicator — when a card has subtasks that aren't expanded, a compact "N subtasks" chip with a chevron sits under the card; click to expand the full list.

  4. Individuals

    2.1.8

A new name, plus a round of polish.
Now URLflows for Individuals — the extension previously listed as URLflows Workspace is renamed URLflows for Individuals, taking its place alongside URLflows for Teams and URLflows for Jira in the URLflows family. Same sidebar, same data, same install — just a clearer name.
Tidier header — Save Tabs moves into the section ⋯ overflow menu, keeping the top row uncluttered. Every action stays one click away.
Fixed the ⋯ menu dimming items it shouldn't, and switched off spell-check squiggles in the Temp Notes scratchpad.

  5. Individuals

    2.1.7

    May 22, 2026

    W21
    Superseded

Dividers grow up into containers, plus theming polish.
Divider containers — in the default list layout, a divider now wraps the bookmarks beneath it in a labeled, rounded container, so a single section can hold several clearly separated groups. Drag the container by its frame to move the divider and all of its bookmarks at once, and drops snap to a container's edge so you never accidentally split a group. Pills, cards, and flow layouts keep the slim divider line.
Divider Border control — a new slider in Options → Bookmarks tunes how visible those container outlines and divider lines are, from a faint hint to the full theme border. Applies instantly.
Accent-tinted labels — section names and divider labels now pick up your theme's accent color instead of plain gray, so the structure of your sidebar stands out at a glance.
Minor fixes and packaging updates (2.1.5–2.1.6).

  6. Individuals

    2.1.4

    May 3, 2026

    W18
    Superseded

Reimagined chrome, new display modes, and big section upgrades.
Universal command bar — the search input doubles as a command palette: type > to open a palette covering every action, and use domain:, type:, and is: modifiers alongside free text. Active filters appear as dismissable pills under the search bar.
Single-row toolbar — the multi-row action bar collapses into one header row (logo · Save Tabs · ⋯ · Settings). Section headers strip down to + link and ; Open all, Add divider, Rename, Make Refocus Tab, and Delete now live in the per-section ⋯ popover. Nothing was removed — every prior button is still reachable via the overflow menu or the palette, and your Options-page button visibility carries over.
Section layouts: list / pills / cards / flow — every section now has a layout. Pick one per section from the ⋯ menu, or set them all at once via the sidebar overflow swatch or the new "Set all sections" palette commands. Options → Bookmarks gets a Default Section Layout tile grid honoured by both the + Section button and Save Tabs. List is the unchanged default; pills is wrapping rounded chips; cards is a compact tile grid; flow shows numbered step badges and a thread line, with "Open all" relabeled "Run flow".
Slide-Out Panel — a third display mode beside the side panel and pop-out window. A thin tab docks at the left or right edge of every web page; hovering reveals the full sidebar as an iframe overlay. Three pin modes: link-click (collapses on bookmark click — default), pin-out (stays out until you click the pin), and minimize-only (stays open across pages, only ✕ closes it). Off by default — opt in via Options → Sidebar → Slide-Out Panel, where you can also set the dock side, the tab's vertical anchor (top, center, or bottom), its height and opacity, and optional edge padding.
Window Sizes — save browser size + position presets, then resize the focused window with one click from the sidebar. Pick from Desktop, Mobile (iPhones, Pixel, Galaxy), and Tablet (iPad, Surface) starter templates, or use Capture Current to snapshot the focused window and bin its position to the closest of nine anchor points. Presets are clamped to the primary display's work area.
Sidebar zoom — a new 70%–150% zoom slider (with −/+ nudge buttons and a live percentage readout) sits above the search bar. Composes with the existing Font Size tier and persists across reloads.
Search auto-expand — running a search now auto-expands every collapsed section so matching bookmarks are immediately clickable. Clearing the query restores only the sections search opened — anything you manually toggled mid-search keeps that state.
Restore as an action button — Restore-from-backup is now a first-class sidebar action, available from both the side panel and the pop-out window without diving into Options.
Mixed favicon, dropdown placement, and section-rendering fixes; minor polish throughout.

  7. Individuals

    2.1.0

    Icon refresh & quality-of-life.
Save Tabs — new action in the Bookmarks dropdown that snapshots every open tab in your current window into a fresh, timestamped section at the top of your sidebar.
Cascade-delete sections — when you delete a section that contains links, URLflows now asks whether to delete the bookmarks too or keep them as Unsectioned. No more silently orphaned links.
Temp Notes in pop-out windows — the Notes panel and toggle are now in the floating pop-out flavor too, with state shared between pop-out and side panel.
Temp Notes feature toggle — new master switch in Options → Features for users who don't want a scratchpad. On by default.
Remix Icon throughout — every toolbar button, section action, dropdown chevron, drag handle, options nav item, and tile picker now uses Remix Icon, vendored locally. Goodbye, fuzzy unicode glyphs that rendered differently on every OS.
Section actions are now compact 22px icon-only buttons, fitting more sections on screen.
Toolbar dropdowns renamed to match Options panels: Sections + View → Bookmarks, Window → Sidebar, "Replace Tabs" → Refocus Tabs.
Smart dropdown placement — when a dropdown would extend past the sidebar's right edge, it anchors right and grows leftward instead of clipping.
Tokyo Night is now the default theme on fresh installs and after Reset Settings. Existing users keep their pick.
Top Bookmarks section is visible by default — your most-clicked links surface at the top automatically.
Collapse All now collapses the Top section alongside manual sections, with state persisted across reloads.
    Mixed minor bug fixes.

  8. Individuals

    2.0.3

Added "Launch all" action to sections — open every bookmark in a section at once.
Immediate edit mode when adding sections or bookmarks for faster workflow.
Sidebar now refreshes automatically after restoring data from a backup file (fresh install or existing) so the restore is visibly reflected right away.
New "To-do" bookmark link type — treat any bookmark as a task while you work on it. Switch a link to "To-do" to reveal a checkbox; mark it complete to cross out the text and add a checkmark, then switch it back to a regular bookmark when you're done. Type can be changed at any time.
    Minor bug fixes and polish.
